Transplant to garden
Make sure to water plant pots before transplanting, it will help them
come
out easier.
- Once the roots have developed its time to move the
plant to its final place in the garden. A good indicator is when roots
starting to emerge at the drainage hole on the underside of the pot.
Create an opening in the soil
large enough to fit the pot contents.
- Place one hand over the pot allowing the stem to be
postioned between two fingers. While holding top of pot, turn
upside down.
- With your other hand, gently squeeze each corner of the
pot.
Sometimes
the plant will simply pop out, however if its been left in the pot too
long you may need to hold the stem at the same time.
- Place plant and potting material in the hole you prepared
and gently pat down and back fill around the potting mix with garden
soil
- Repeat the above process for each plant and maintain a
spacing of around 1.5m
- Water well
