Aging
Some recommend that leaves should be aged from at least three
months. Out of necessity one season, we
tried ours as is after aging for three weeks. It was definitely
smokeable and even more so after adding flavouring to it.
- Make sure leaves are not too damp, they should feel dry and
yet pliable when crumpled
- Place leaves into containers such as roller storage bins
fitted with a lid.
Keep in cool, dark dry place until ready to use
- Be sure there are no unwanted odours such as cleaning
agents, perfumes... used in the same area.
