Over many years we have carried out research to discover who we are and how we are connected.
The result of this research gives us the interim charts we have today. Some of our whanau now have links to these charts.
The work has been a huge undertaking with resources from many individuals and organisations. There is still much work to do but we believe what we have to date is comprehensive and certainly something we can all be proud of.
Our whakapapa includes lineage from the follwing whanau:
As well as our Maori heritage there are close links to other nationalities:
Access
At present, our charts comprise of image files which over time has caused them to grow too big.
This of course means they use a huge amount of device RAM to display, so we are working to code the data server side which should reduce this un-necessary overhead.
Access is limited to those who have already been given links. We will be working on a login page for whanau to register and login once we have charts down-sized and available.
External Charts
Online commercial genealogical sites are available, such as Geni, My Heritage, Ancestry... We choose not to store our charts with them due to privacy issues. These sites can be a great source for research but most require you to uprage to a paid subscription to view more detailed information.
